Postcard From The Other Side

Heyaz... Just dropping by to say hello to everyone here... although I seriously doubt my presence is missed, lol.

From what I see here I guess it's life as usual at Monash then.

Anyways, in case you're wondering what I'm doing now (which you're most probably not, since most people have better things to think about than other people's lives), I now have a pleasantly depressing 9 to 5 office job that's enough to make me miss college within the first week.

Plus points:
+ I get paid.
+ Experience
+ I have work trips overseas.

Minus points:
- It seems I'll never get away from editing.
- I'll very soon never want to see another proposal for the rest of my life.
- The office is in a kampung within the city. Nothing but Malay food and mamak around. Once in a while is one thing, but I really can't eat the same thing everyday. =_= I'm also the only non-Malay in the building, so I bet I'm the only one who notices.
- It's shortening my life. No, really, the life line on my right hand disconnected twice within a week of taking the job. Believe palmistry if you will.
- I now have practically zero freedom. I bought a PS2 I now have no time to play. Drats.

But yeah, hi everyone! Kinda miss you people~ But that's all for now la. Was never that much of a blogger anyways. Take care and God Bless~

More August Jolly Events!!

Oi, TY....not covering ur bday experience in SIN ar?
Yupz, our CIMP snapster/snapz kid is now 19 years old!! I for one is jolly delighted, cuz he's no more but same age as me now....mm hmm 81 years left on earth!!


Here's the complete Requiem set for TY's bday collection which adds to the third collection generated so far.

This collection main theme is to convert everyone into a bit of Korean styled skin tone and appereance. SOme turned to be failures while some had good results. The first card I worked on was TY's and everyone else adopted his shade from there.



Many thanks to all who contributed their pics. Was good of SY to make a Bday Poster for TY's Bday too...else I wouldnt have found good pics of CW, Jord n herself in such a short amount of time ;)

Now to describe each card ;)
TY: Cool heh? the term to use here is not Sakai but Kawaii ;) The before n after effect of shaving the fella n removing his specs stunned me yet again...
Empty ground: Glorie was meant to be here, her presence will be missed.
Sabrina: Just a recolour from the one I used in SinMech collection, what to do right...she's not studyin in Monash/Sunway side hard get pics ledi.
Mark: More arab than korean, more wise than nonsense, Our Mark which went to the sea ;)
Leech: Cunted graduation pic conversion, a rare find indeed, grad pics are hard to use in normal pics..
JZ: Also grad pic, she looks better with long hair wei....when I saw her not long ago changed style ledi..
Elaine Liew: Nothing to say here, her pic after convert totally lost eyebrow colour due to low pic quality, did a bad brow replacement job yea...
Enid: Again the elegant pic we all have seen
Jordan: Dunno leh, quite ok to me but so far he has complained both SY n my artwork of him didnt look good..
DW: Not bad oso, least didnt face distortions like the others, didnt need to replace nthin
C2: She originally already had korean like features, merry lookin as usual, her fairness easily blended with TY's
Chui lee: I keep using this pic...I dunno why...but maybe cuz it brings more mystery and better than having a whole pack of IC photo cards.
CA: Purposely made a dazed weirdo pose. Posing was easy, to take the photo myself was quite a laugh wei...
Ben: After see this pic he's gonna go hug his SinSoccer cards ledi...sorree lor didnt have time to seek better closeup pics
CW: thanks to the latest released pics of CW, a good pic can be formed, I have so few pics of CW that this edition can put the other two older versions to shame di ;)
Calie: sameness but I still have an array of her not used yet in diff costumes, no time to crop though so I use back this one ler...
SY: only had one single pic to choose from since she changed hairstyle this sem, shud have asked for more but it was really a last rush...pplus doin her pic in the uni clab kinda made it harder for me to photoshop like normal. At home I can stare n gaze at the screen to try n admire each pic the best I can like an obssessed freak so yea....environmental effects very important

MUSA Street Party

Well well d other i believe d rest, all Monga journalists wouldnt be covering d event here so i shall do d honors then for those interested to read bout it...

D party started off badly!! It poured!! This weather has been d norm for for a few days ledi so no need for a feng shui sifu there mr calvin... even miss idiot cw can predict it alright but well musa were certainly keepin their fingers crossed i suppose.

On with d attractions now!! Enuff bla bla bs.

Im not realli into food. Especially food cooked by uni students. Say NO to those ppl!! Say YES to home cooked mummy food and qualified chefs now ppl...

And now i shall present Calvin Ang and Ben Gan...

The poor SIN members who got POISONED!! I mean food poisoning la..they are still breathing and alive tq very much for ur concern...

An hour or two after consuming food prepared by MESS club members, our dear Calvin and Ben vomitted and make visits to d toilet!!

*MESS/= A club u mess with. Its actualli Monash Engineering Students' Stupidity or sumthing to dat effect...

The food consumed:: Spaghetti and meatballs.

The romantic Lady and The Tramp atmosphere was obviously created to lure lovebirds but well d gang was nice enuff to pay it a visit as well we have know too many Eng students to avoid dat particular booth...so well oh well...we know which booth to avoid next time eh ppL??

Me being me wasnt interested in food and went out to seek entertainment while most stayed behind...Went booth-browsing with Sy and i cant remember who...last night was a blur realli...

There was still a light drizzle but dats alright as there are puddles to step into and dats fun!! ;P

Finally we came upon a dunking booth!! Poor Stephen, biz rep was already soaked from head to toe but well i wanted to dunk me big mouth again all d same!!

I stood within 30cm and threw those tennis balls as hard as i can but well my attempts were well...kinda pathetic and well i failed. This cant be true!! Argh. HE is going DOWN down down!! Into d water he MUST go!! I went behind him and pushed him right in!! Yay!! ;D

Satisfied, i left d booth ;) In search of more entertainment.

There wasnt much game booths... too much food if u ask me... but miss smartie pants who knows damn well she cant eat chew and swallow fast signed up for d burger eating competition anywys cos it was by mbc.

*Sry if not much is covered on d rest of d gang cos as usual i was wondering alone most of d time...so...dunno wat r d rest doing... A rough shall be made then ;)

Ty --> Taking pics. Like duh...
D gang --> Stuffing themselves silly. Walked a bit and glued themselves to a spot watching performances by d live bands.

After a while, i eventually got bored...borrowed ty's other cam to toy around but


Well...i was clueless but d flash thingy and had to call ty for help.
Then.. it was sum timer function. Dunno wat button i pressed oso.

Sry la...kinda spastic...there are just way too many weird looking icons on d camera ok!! ALL complicated looking cams shud henceforth come with manuals available permanently attached to them. Make them tiny of cos...and really cute too!!

A wth moment

Bored. What shud i do then?? Hehe...
A plan is hatched. Within minutes it was put to work. I dialedd 8 numbers and the line was connected.

A certain female answered the phone. I said hello and asked if wee vien is around. She said sumthing but i was a bundle of nerves and instead of asking her to repeat i asked if ty is home.
The answer is no and boy was i delighted. The voice asked who ami looking for and who am i. I told her that im ty's fren. She suggested dat i call ty's hp.

"No...im looking for wee vien", i said.
I think i asked her. NO, i think she told me. Sumhow i found out im speaking to ty's MUM!! OMGOMG. She called d right weevien for me this time.

Now i know why her voice sounded so mature and calm!! Aiyo. Wat a blunder. But cw is not one to be easily embarassed. Not togive up now...she talked to the sis, the real sis.

I must have frightened cos well from her voice i can tell la!! So i told her NOT to be afraid tho i bet dat did wonders in making frightened her MORE so!!

Ah shoot.

So i attempted instead to make her promise me she'll come next fri for d MUSA street party since she'd be having her hols anywyz.

I will consider so she told me.
I tried really hard to make her promise still. Persistent cw. Typical cw. Yaya...watever people.
Said goobye and kept my fingers crossed.

Realised i gotta tell ty so dat he can help me with his sis...He shouted back at me for calling and asked me where d hell did iget d number!! Nola...he wasnt angry, shocked only.
No more ordinary days with me around eh?? Lol.

But well...i ought to warn him first...his sis will be running to him once he gets back...

Listens to dial tone... and soon enuff a voice answers d call.

TY: Oi sakai!! Why u disturb my sister?!!
Cw: Oi!! Disturb wat?!! I merely invited her to d street party!!

Ty: U scare her okay!! She had been traumatised by you!!
Cw: Wth. Stop being so protective of ur sis okay. She needs to know more people. All kinds of people. Dat will help her grow ok.

Ty: D last person i'd like her to know is YOU.
Cw: WHAT?!! She HAS TO meet ME. Me of all people!!

Ty: What for?? SO dat she can die of d horror?!!
Cw: Argh. What horror?!! Im joy!! Pure joy!!!
TY speechless ledi. Warned cw to never call his sis again.

Then got style conflict....some coats got these funny looking thin lined pattern while some were the common plain coloured. The female side suggested the thin lined ones, while orderly ppl like TY n my dad say plain better..

A certain individual suggested getting a bowtie....

Crazy pricing due the branding factor have coats that range from RM400-500+ Even saw one rediculously priced at RM800+ (I talked with the coat for a while and wished it good luck towards finding a worthy suitor with its poorly pale coloured design)

The cheapest coat ever found was around RM75+, Its extremely outdated and dunno why it was the first coat I found when I first started on the search.

Called for cavalry around 12 cuz brain go blank di, then easier make decision haha. Instead of shopping for a coat, ended up buying few T-shirts oso cuz no choice lar.....externally influenced by the shopping mood. Total amount of cash spent: RM 586 and dunno what cents lar.
Current Status: Extremely broke
Solution: Increase pricing of virtual tissue to RM10 one packet, Not participating in double meals in the meantime, etc etc
