I can feel it, soon the demons will call out to me.. to grab me away from my final struggle for this year... damn. I survived way much better than i thought, the focus was there, didn't stray away too much, still managed to read all chapters altho I did NOT know where some of the test contents come from.. So yea... good job I must say.

Gippsland Hell Kitchen Vol.2

Lunch time, prepare cook noodle. Instant selected the only pot I knew was safe.
Water boiling, window open...

(Brain think Y window open)
(Brain response: Must B sum1 open becuz now hot weather need cool air come in)
(Me: But I know window here not good open with all da holes...)

Proceed's to close window, (swoop) one fly dancing around doing its usual business of laying eggs every few seconds (not sure if laying egg, I just know some droplet thingy comes out from bottom in resting mode while they not flying), (looks around) almost all window open, (swoop) I know one fly in kitchen so this one must B diff one.

Closes all window. Try focus cook noodle but distracted by Fly A and Fly B. Goes into room to grab my perfect wonder insta kill bug spray....

Located Fly A, (pssst) direct hit, it fly a few cm to the left (Y no instant kill?)(psst) direct hit again, but instead it act crazy keep bumping the window wan fly outside...

(Brain think juz let it die inside, see spray works or no)

Fly B also sense the commotion and fly pass by but headed to other window to hide behind curtain.

It took 5 mins before the fly drop inside soap mug (Place where they keep all the sponge in very murky water) wriggle around for few secs then KO by drowning...

(Brain think: Does this mean this fly will now contribute to the soap water used in cleaning all the plates?)
(Brain response: Most probably...)

Finally can cook in peace, fry chicken n egg, no sign of Fly B seeking death.
Took out new set of sponge n soap mug for my own use to clean up. Then keep it well hidden from sight.

Well, to clarify I'm still half-hearted at winning this post. In fact, I'm supposed to be retired from any more student body episodes. Mostly I'm just excited about fooling around with photoshop again, its one hobby I cant leave behind. Plus, the tradeoff is the title sounds convincing if I manage to survive until getting the cert sem end... who wouldn't want to be called webmaster?

As expected, the fate of getting the post was already marked soon as the nomination form was submitted. So is this confirmation from God that I need to rely on a student body post that forces me to be more responsible to fix my growing slacking off habit? Oh well....

My nominee didnt escape fate either. She will bear the burden of ISA as well next sem....

Super Shiok! The cleaners have finally given our bio-hazard kitchen the thumbs up after 6 weekly reviews of quality check. We should be at the leading ladder for the least presentable house in west.

I have been able to conduct various series of observations here on decaying leftovers and thriving mold. To think that there was no point of cleaning up the kitchen upon arrival in the first place. Wasted energy that time, cuz my mom wanted it cleaned. Heck, I don't even cook at my own house thanks to the zoology of germs there.

Thankfully, I saw it coming so I had some pictures taken for future references.

I've always pondered if I shud ever blog again. But the drama and excitement found in Gippsland is wailing out loud to be recorded.

But before that, need to follow procedure and rewind back a bit to the past XD

Journey Begin (29th June 2008)

I was lost in thought that time. Felt like going through another overseas holiday. Just that after two weeks It'll just be me left behind. Part of me was excited of the soon-to-be heavenly freedom granted upon me while my other half saw troubling times ahead to adjust in a less controlled environment. Not so sure if I can control myself so that was around the same time I made a promise to myself (Heheh, still keeping it so far...my promise which comprised of few sub promises lol)

I actually never quite got down to posting here, but I figured I'd at least say hello since Calvin's been nice enough to give me posting access, lol.

The quick update on my life: I quit my job, I started Lord of the Rings Online, and I'll most probably be leaving for Michigan only in December.

But mainly, reading a few posts here, is it just me or is MUSA the most retarded group of people to hit Sunway-Monash campus? >.>

That aside, I like the new campus. It actually looks like a university. More... professional, should I say?

I know I haven't been posting anywhere in ages, I've been busy with things and things and things.

I've joined the International Students' Association (ISA) and trust me the people here are really fun ^__^ At the very least we're all friends (I know group politics are inevitable but I really don't give a damn as long as we can work together) and that we can share a laugh.

Shanghai Night (the theme for this year's Culture Night) is up! ^__^ And I guess I had a good kick having blown everyone away with my design for the poster and tickets XD I feel happy I guess~

The poster to be pinned up throughout campus & an A3 copy @ the booth.

The ticket that people will be holding. Well the final one should be smaller.. I'm just lazy to resize it for now. I haven't added the ticket number and the fact that this provides free entry to the after-party.

I'm also helping out for the International Students' Newsletter (known as Nexus) and nope I don't have the preview to show you, but trust me the content and the design are up to par =D I'll try to get an online copy... The design is basic cause it's packed with words, there's not much to be done anyway.

IF there is one thing i am good at....it is voicing out my complaints ;) Oh damn i rock at it!! Lol. ANd if i have to...damn i'll make one hell of a speech out of it. Lol.

I complain because i trust. Because i trust YOU musa i voice out my complaints so that you can take actions. I trust you to rectify these problems i see.

Because i trust i pass this baton to you.

I tak mahu attend council meeting tomorrow cos damn a lot of work to do!! We biz students got 2 assigns due on Monday so we work like shit la. I look foward to rainy days and thunderstorms ya know... cos then i have a very good reason to switch off my comp and rest!!

Hey Mr yin...

You going to the council meeting tomorrow? If you do, tell them they suck. Lol. Joking. I do believe they know.

Tell them 2 things:

1. Stop making ripples. Time to make waves. Make their presence felt. You can do nothing if the students know shit bout you. Don't go hide in your comfy lil offices and campaign like you did when you guys were trying to win our votes over.

Tell them to read Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. It's available for loan in the library. Basically the book is on how one can learn to spread messages that stick, make an impact.

2. MVO suck. What MVO does is wait for feedbacks. Feedback comes in, you people do something but the point is we know nothing bout what you people are doing. Say, when you sms and the receipient doesn't reply... how does it feel?

You people post those complaints in musaonline or so i heard but no one checks musaonline anyway. It's not that user friendly btw. You people told me meeting minutes are in the site but well i can't seem to find it. If people can't find it, no point it being there right? Makes no difference.

The site management needs improvement. That's point 3.

A lil bit more on point 2. People like feedbacks cos its informative. You people want feedbacks. We people want feedbacks on our feedbacks. Have you ever notice how students crave for feedbacks from their tutors when asked to answers questions?

They'll look at him/her while answering the Q in question and sometimes ask them whether they are in the right track. It's normal and it's human.

And lastly, MUSA is a confusing term. Monash University Students Association. These 4 words yes.

The question is, who's in it? When people refer to MUSA, they are referring to the council members but MUSA is the whole student population in Monash or did i get that wrong? You people are MUSA council members right not MUSA.

Omg, i've not even started on Silver Wings yet... After looking at the ad,i have a very rough idea on how it works, some sort of points collection like loyalty card stuff i think. Collect X points and you get this, Y points and you get that... Makes me feel so housewife. But silver wings is MUCH more challenging than that as you have to beat 49 people to it. Sounds like a mad race to the finish line :P

And the forms are available at the MUSA council office which is hidden in a place far beyond reach of ordinary students. What a place to place those forms. Well, since it's limited to 50 people only, i do think it's a wise move, less people would get their hands on those forms and less problems of people complaining bout not being among the 50 fortunate people who can participate. Is this not the idea?

The idea is to increase participation. Invite interesting people to give talks then. Easy? I attended a talk by CIMA and it's a spin-off my lectures. I know CIMA is all about management accounting and i AM taking that particular unit this semester... but i did not expect it to BE LIKE a lecture for goodness sake.

Damn. I have 4 points or 5 when i really want to limit myself to 2. I cannot go to council meetings cos i'll be cursed for stretching the meetings an hour or so longer! It is very out of place for me to do that for i am no council member.

Get half my points to your people and i'll get you a lolli. If you can't make it to the meeting yourself or whatever, let this be part of the complaints forwarded to MVO then.

Handing out survey forms to students in the computer labs for this year's ball theme is a bad idea. Tell one of the activities officers bout this...er...what's her name... 3 of em...And an exotic Arabic night is a bad idea for the theme. Bombarding us with survey forms in the comp lab is wouldn't work, when you're in the comp lab, you have work to do, whatever it is. An occupied mind can't be bothered with stuff like that. Well, they had me guards down when they handed those forms, the choices were so hard as i do not like any particular one...

Just submit this to MVO on second thought. Too lengthy and too many points d. No name must be revealed though. I am tired of phonecalls from musa people.

Hmm, I dunno where to start but with this post marks the end of Monga's design team tasks for the first edition. Conclusion? Not good at all... everything was fine till we missed out the fact that bad things can happen if our editor gets pawned by the MUSA president (whose views are often twisted and manipulated by her annoying sidekicks) to agree on their very very sad and mostly unlogical opinions.

MUSA is INDEED still SQUARE!!! Bloody SQUARE!! Filthy SQUARE and thank god to them that they only dared to cari pasal with Cheng Wai n Alvin's pages and not MINE!! Cuz if they did... I will not tolerate any illogical explanations.

It all started few hours after we sacrificed the day for a late lunch to get the first edition of MONGA's pages done. Fixed our pages based on Zheng Hui's (Editor) needs and left to scavage cafeteria food. Cheng Wai went to class and Alvin had to jaga booth. I noticed the editor like very sulky and panic like that leaving the toilet at Sunway block then heading back into the MUSA office. I sensed something wrong so I decided go "8" for a while lor... upon entry the President and her looneys were already validating her pictures. I missed a big part of the session when they started so my POV is that mainly the troublemaker that caused MONGA to lose a big part of its fun is "Nisha" the Gen Secretary.

1) They banned Alvin's use of female models in page layouts. (Me n CW oso got suggest no to him di, most of the weird ones are gone n we only left one behind for experimental sake XD)
2) The banned CW's use of her photos showing "Buddies" having fun. Nisha's reason? "Buddy's arent supposed to be playing in their own leisure time and should not be shown having fun.." WTH WTH?
3) The new campus section CW n Me built had small captions of humourous text beside each picture. They didnt like the part where we put two unknown people looking down from above saying how scary it was if they were to fall down. Their reason? Those two people might be admins and we dont wanna make them mad?

My logic: Stupid Arseholes, those two people are what size? equal to 3cm X 3cm small in diameter ni lol...n they both facing back...means no face lah...

4) MOST importantly they cari pasal with our quote for Monga recruitment "Monga work is no work, Monga work is play" because it contradicts to reality? Its our own recruitment summore...not like we doin ad for MUSA wei.... after hearing that one I oso didnt bother say hi to them di... just wait them leave... too early for us to fight MUSA. I already told Zheng Hui to gather all of us including the writers n as many other board members the next time they want to validate. Most important is the designers shudd be present.. see they dare tell to our face or no. This time they didnt know the head was standing there near the end of the session lol..

Overall my theory for MONGA still stands. The writers are the foundation... if they dont finish building it the pillars cant stand alone. Id any one of the three pillars goes missing then there is no stucture. Three pillars dont form a square XD

Being one of Monga's department head sure is no small task. There is most certainly a lot of responsibility involved and crew members to look after. Well, at this stage one would ponder if its actually easier to work independantly as an individual.. but I for one would rather not go through this alone. I prefer working with a team, so that the pain can be shared and we can be each others sheild.

Its barely been two weeks since editorial work kicked off and political backdoors have already formed. Less lethal ones at this point. They should learn to know that the entire Monga board now stands on three pillars, the editors, the designers and the photographers. Surprisingly, there is such a thing as a Head of Writers but that doesnt count much except being part of the boards foundation. A department head would need to maintain cool at all times and take precautions on not acting too harsh. At least I know we can rely on CW to do all the fire blasting when we really wanna prove something. Alvin's quite reliable too since he mingles well in different environments.

Design planning alone took up one hour of board meeting and several group discussions later on. Front page design took around a week but I guess its normal since were going for a new look in Monga's aim to create its own identity. This front cover was made possible thanks to idea input from Tseng Yang and the editorial board mainly, so many thanks to them. Currently the design orders is to standardize everything this year, so no more colourful Monga pages for now.

Right now, its important for all the department heads to get all the help they can get. Tseng Yang's side is very close to being shorthanded just like mine so I hope new recruitment comes in soon for everyones sake. CW can take pictures too so I find it possible to back each other up for now. Anyhow, as long as the leaders remain reliable and just to their department crew, I see a clear path for the board to move ahead.

Tales from places below MEASAT

The stage is all set and everything seemed so perfect at TY's wedding. He's got what he wanted, a wife that owns 8 regional titles from scientifical concepts to world innovative mecha theories. They both manage to pronounce "I do" in the most beautiful and perfect pronounciation that none of the guests can possibly conjure. The windows shined extra bright and lightened the once dark depths of his camera studio, now set to be the perfect stage for his prime moment. This was truly a blessed and joyful for all those who knew TY. Even the pastor felt his troubled throat clear up instantly and everyone was filled with the presense of God.

Then, human emotion kicked in during the wedding dinner where the couple were supposed to recite their own words, love confessions for each other. The bride starts to get nervous, a feeling she had never experienced before in her many speech battles. Indeed, she was shy. TY was not consoling her much either, he had already prepared for such critical moments since childbirth. Music poured in like a thousand rainbows, TY got Sabrina to sing with the help of a hidden jukebox to play as backup so all she needed to do was gawk her mouth. Apparently not many other performers passed his quality check test in order to be recruited. This included a minor breath test for acidic residue. Right after that, Sook Yan was seen performing the belly dance. Apparently, she must've gotten that Bollywood contract. For the finale, TY had the whole plan covered by coercing Glorie to perform her legendary dancing moves which was a fusion of hip-hop and fencing properties.

Soon later, the bride met up with one of the party's prestigiuous guests, Zhang Zhe, who further confused her by giving a few tips on ancient chinese poetry scripting. Uncalm and lost, the bride hid in the toilet where she decided to use the "converse with mirror trick". Suddenly, TY's mother steps in and greets her good luck and expresses her hopes of TY's ever perfect poem be responded with another 10k foot long poetry by the bride. Frustrated by the request of her newly "loved" mother-in-law, the bride starts wrecking her long lovely hair and tore her custom tailored gown. As she walked out of the ladies, she walked past a waiter, grabbed a glass of martini and choked in down hard for one last final charge of courage. The guests remained silent and TY was too drunk to notice as he was too busy challenging Mark with all the booze there was as he was known as "BoozeBear Mark". Ben, me, Jordan, YK, Cheng Wai and Penny were all snickering at one corner, though we did wonder why we got the back row table.

TY began muttering the sounds of heavenly chemistry formulae despite his drowsy state. The romantic night sky almost turned Bunsen blue. As he finished, the latter handed the microphone to his beloved and even put on a listening device to make it all more memorable. The bride opened her mouth but only crooked, twisted and horrid forms of grammar came out. She tried and tried, covering up few parts saying "testing, testing" but it was too late. The damage had been done. TY's ears began to bleed and two "X"s formed the cornea on his eyes.

The guests didnt say a thing and left soon afterwards without even shaking hands. Whoever decided on inviting such none-responsive and empty minded guests in the first place? No matter, last I heard TY got Alvin and Daniel to handle the guest list. Since no one appreciated the buffet, the mamak gang took it to their liberty instead. As the bride signed the divorce letter handed by TY's parents she took one last glimpse at the same waiter she got the glass from.... the nametag read "Yasir"

I know I haven't been posting anything lately, I've just been really lazy XP So I came up with a brilliant plan and decided to write this post: a Guide for Future N0obs.

Anyway, this is mainly for the people who'll be coming down to Gippsland & staying on campus.

Entertainment
Seriously, there are no clubs here, it's located in the country. The closest you can get is a saloon/bar/pub which is about 5-10 mins walk from the on campus accommodation. Either that or whenever there's some event at the student lounge, which may include bands playing, movie screenings and dinner events. Good thing about the student lounge is that they have a bar so you can drink your way into oblivion starting from lunchtime (about 12pm I think). Alcoholic drinks usually cost around AUD$5 to AUD$10 so before you order, remember that you've been warned; it's not cheap.

Shopping
SUPER IMPORTANT: most shops close at 5PM on the dot and operate half day on weekends.

For those living on-campus, the closest place to go shopping is the Hazelwood Shopping Center which is just 5-10 mins walk. Foodworks is the place for grocery shopping, there's a Commonwealth Bank branch there and a post office. Pretty much everything you need is there but groceries are more expensive compared to going to Coles, Big W, KMart or Safeway. The closest town is Morwell and Traralgon. Morwell is probably comparable to Ipoh, it really is a small little town. There's the Midvalley Mall which is usually where most students go shopping (whenever possible). Good places for shopping are Coles & Big W (for grocery shopping at cheaper prices), Reject Shop (this one sells mostly hardware) and there's a store across Coles which sells cheap and fresh fruits & vegetables. If you go down to Commercial Road in Morwell that's where they have the quaint little shops, such as a bookstore, clothing store, pawn shop, computer store, cafes and a butcher and the art gallery which is free entrance (for those who really wanna kill time). Haven't been to Traralgon yet, but it's definitely a bigger place than Morwell. And comparatively, if Morwell is like Ipoh, then Traralgon is like Penang.

Travel
First off, have a copy of the bus & train timetable, it's really useful. Even though the buses run late but its usually around the same time.

If you're staying on campus, you can either choose to wait for the bus at the Binishell (which is a pretty long walk) or at Slow Point (probably 2 mins walk, it's actually a sign on the side of the road which says "Slow Point" and not n actual bus stop but the bus stops there anyway so yay X3)

To go to Morwell, a bus ticket costs AUD$2.10 one way. The bus stops at several places, including the Midvalley Mall and the train station. Buses are usually hourly, e.g. if you hopped on the 1.30PM bus from the uni, the bus will reach Midvalley Mall at about 2.00PM, and if you wanna go back the earliest bus is at 2.30PM.

To go to Traralgon I think the buses cost about AUD5. I'm not sure...

If you wanna go down to Melbourne, take a bus to the Morwell train station (I think it'll cost you about AUD$2.10). The vLine train ticket will cost about AUD$15.90 for an economy class one-way ticket, about AUD$30 for a return ticket and I recommend that you choose to either stop at Flinders' Street or Southern Cross in Melbourne, and stop at Morwell when you're coming back. If you plan to take an afternoon train back from Melbourne on weekends, I suggest you go to the Mugzoo Central (next to the student lounge) and arrange for a pick-up service which will only cost you AUD$1 cause the buses on weekends only operate until about early afternoon, about 2.30PM or so.

Food
I really recommend that you learn how to cook before you get here. You're gonna end up cooking alot. Period. On campus accommodation cooking facilities are okay cause they usually have the pots and pans and stuff, just buy your own ingredients.

General
Get a printer, cause printing here is expensive! @__@ 12cents per black & white page is overkill. And they don't provide you with initial printing quota, you have to buy your own. Cheapskates >___>
Bring your own bedsheet, quilt cover & pillowcase cause you have to return the ones they initially provided for you.
Don't need to buy CAT5 cable if you're living in the South House, they already provide it.
Get one aus-msian conversion power adapter, then bring your msian multipoint adapter. That way don't need to buy so many.
Get a cloth/canvas shopping bag, it lasts forever and you don't need to keep so many plastic bags. Unless you want to, that is.
Get a laundry basket or something (I would try to get a foldable one so that I can take it back when the year's over) otherwise all your dirty clothes end up on the floor which is not very nice.

I guess that's it for now. If I find something else to add or you have suggestions I'll update this~

First off, there are definitely more cows than any other animal here XD

Erm the on-campus rent is billed monthly, so the MRS site will practically cover the rent part of it.

Off campus is definitely cheaper,you can get a room for $50-$100 a week but I don't know what that covers. Big plus (or minus, depending on how you look at it) is that you have a good 15-20 mins walk to and fro campus if you have classes everyday. Or you could also take the bus which is $1.70 one way if it's within the same town (Churchill).

Groceries you should shop together with other housemates then split the bill, it's cheaper. So far mine's about $20 per week. Phone bill, just get Optus cause that's what most people use XD

Well, I don't really know what to post here, but I suppose I should post something here cos it was ages ago since my last post. I hope my post is OK with you guys because me and Sook Yan found it interesting when we saw all these in Australia.. HeHe.. Australia here is not bad, with all the people being so friendly and polite(so far they were polite la).. You can hear "Hi", "How are you ?", "Thank you", "Have a nice day ~" almost everyday !! Unbelievable ? Believe it !! HaHa..

Me and Sook Yan saw this advertisement outside Faculty of Information Technology in Clayton, which looks cute and funny ~!

We found out the trolley was in the Yaara River, which was kind of amazed(we wondered who the hell pushed the trolley down into the river ~ XD)

Funny ? We found it on the bus.. They actually got few versions of these, but I've gotten this one.. I will get the other versions next time ~ ^_^

Nice scenery ?? I took it when we were going to Albert Park, where the F1 Grand Prix is going to be held there this year, sometimes(not sure when is it ~ XD)

Coding section needs much help, I cant seem to reactivate commenting and user identification of each post. Nways, I'm done trying since I was supposed to replace everything by Jan 1st but the errors prevented me from doing so.

Hello all.

How have you been?

I've been okay.

I'm sure by now at least someone should know that I'm part-timing as a waitress in fish & co @ 1u. It's alright really, nothing too difficult. Just must remember to be pleasant all the time, which I'm sure some people find it easy to do right? Sadly, I beg to differ, especially when sometimes your manager (well maybe just one of them) tends to be abit bitchy during the weekend shift. But the bartenders are really nice, and the other managers are really fun to be around with. Even the kitchen staff are a jolly bunch of people. Well they do cook our meals too, so that makes us floor staff appreciate them even more~ If we're lucky (meaning not much customers) we get to eat abit earlier. Meals are usually some rice (omg their white rice has to be some of the hardest ever, almost of a rock-like quality; their buttered rice, however, is nice cause its the same ones the customers are served.. usually only if there are leftovers) and some chicken dish or the other - again, if we're lucky, there'll be leftover calamari and sometimes fish too XD Drinks, well, just steal (of course not illegally >_> you know how I casually use the term) from the bar. Of course it won't be the signature drinks, just the regular soft drinks and stuff~

Been working for about 3 weeks now, so yeah I'm pretty much used to how things work (although I know when I'm extra blur I make all sorts of stupid mistakes). I'd really prefer the day shift cause you actually do less compared to the night shift (closing up is a real pain in the ass) but I guess beggars can't be choosers, eh? At the end of the night shift when I'm home I usually just crash straight till 10+ the next morning (well this is when I'm super-tired, and when I first started - you know how it is to break the habit of sleeping really late) and think of what other days I have to go to work. Since my bro usually gets the car to work, I usually end up walking. That's 20 mins of solid walking before I end up standing and running around the restaurant for 4-5 hours straight. Talk about warm-ups. =P

Hope to meet you guys soon. I know the soonest would be Christmas but I won't be around cause I'll be in the East Coast @ my dad's kampung celebrating with my relatives. So I hope you guys round yourselves up and have a great time at someone's place alright?

Water be Me

Wee, On Nov 3rd I hit 20, the type of age where ur not a teen but not fully an adult as well. Just as any other water based scorpio, I was attacked by water on the very same day. There were altogether 2 high level and 3 low level creatures (Uh-oh....ZZ is 1987 or 1986 leh...I dunno le). One of the low level creature was also a half-scorpio kindred but have decided to betray the clan. Many people wont get this story, I dun very much bother either.

Freedom Fall

Finally the holidays have come, for many of us we will still continue to stay awake late like usual, sometimes even ignoring the need for sleep just to enjoy long awaited fun thrilled moments (Whatever ur doing, even playing with aeroplanes). Firstly, there are soooo many things to do, I might as well start final fantasy now, or shud I be online gaming? (Nah might as well wait for Ben to finish test first, my char same level like his di). I miss photoshop too so here's some fun, art n wallpaper requests are open again!! (Of course I'll need to announce this at my msn as well, rely only on Monash students I wont get any requests....)

Birthday Gifts

Pictures or description better? lazy put pictures now, the info takes up space as well. Plus most of my birthday gifts are still delayed since I requested a late celebration, (Only the 5 idiotic few decided to overturn my plans to lay low as a study hermit during the tests ;)

Future hopes?

Just to pass all my 2nd sem subjects n then proceed to suffer in my 2nd year, but hey! at least I finally manage to stay in a course n reach 2nd year for a change. LKW also reached this stage before I left so a bit of fear over repeating history. Its like the sole purpose for humans to first seek a path towards career development...whatever happened to farming and fishing to survive? Nop, no modern human would do that these days.

Why most humans fail to stay young?

Firstly, it all depends on family genes, some people have the mature look faster n some plainly suffer the fate of a youthful appereance (Note how I twist my words to avoid making ya'all feel sad). But this isnt the only factor, its true cause ive seen some of my beautiful cousins turn to horrrid abysimals of nature (God bless thee n thy soul to find husbands). Well, enuf crap, the external factors rely on the healthy environment that you upkeep as well, maintain a healthy hygiene and the benefits do come rewarding, however, my personal research shows that smoking sumhow does not affect negative changes in apperance....but dun go laughing yet, thats cuz tho u can keep ur appearance, that wont stop u from dying young either muahaha. Drink milk daily...err maybe frequently enuf ler. Its also advisable to seek out dermatologist help for serious problems, thats what Eric did n yep I see great improvement ;) Face wash? its a cheaper alternative than seeing specialists n its not limited to only females....so dun feel embaressed to use lol. Meh, enuf about the faces....

Ultimately, do remember that ur fashion selection and hairstyle affects your youthfullness as well. I have few good comparisons as examples but that'll put me on the next headhunt list :)

Hey!! TY sis here, I was kinda 'asked' by someone to blog (i'm sure that person knows who he/she is, but i guess anyone can guess that out, how many of my bro's friends has called me before??-laughs-)

Anywayz, let me introduce myself 1st =)
Name, you guys should already know, age 15, birthday somewhere in March, horoscope pices, no typical favorite stuff, studying in SMK Tropicana, height 168cm, weight........ I don't think that any girl would tell you their weight, right?? or maybe there is O_o

I'm on my after PMR holidays now, also known as ponteng-ing =D I know some of you might be wondering "Don't this girl feel boring staying at home for 3 whole months???" well, as long as the tv, computer and books exist, -laughs- I don't think I will =P moreover, I still get to go lepaking durin the week ends and holz durin December, haha. But honestly, anything's better than school =)

I'm form 4 next year and I'll be entering pure science, but it has absolutely nothing to do with my future career, it's more to the knowledge I want to be getting. Haha, i might sound like I'm really hard-working but believe me, I'm lazier than you think. I'm practically forcing myself to do most of the things that has to do with 'work', but when there's a will, there's a way right? And luckily I'm able to drag myself through all the work, if not............. I don't think I would want to think about that =)

Hahaha, it seems like I've been crapping to much, so I'd better stop =D

right, this is my assignment submission waaaay beyond the due date. >_< but you cannot deny we had a really good time then. Although I actually quite missed cw and c2's appearance at the table, most of the time they were doing some great disappearing acts. Oh well.

Sugar, skimmed milk powder, creamer (glucose syrup, palm kernel oil,sodium caseinate (milk powder), permitted stabiliser and emulsifierof plant and synthetic origin, malt extract, instant coffee, barley, chicory, rye, palm oil, maltodextrin, CaCo3, salt, soya lecithin and Vitamins

Normal coffee::
Sugar, non-dairy creamer (same as above), sodium caseinate, permittedstabiliser, emulsifier and instant coffee.

Dun ask me bout the price difference cos like ur ordinary teenager, im price insensitive when it comes to such things. i dun realli care.

Wat vitamins are contained inside ur breakfast coffee??
Protein, vit C, Vit B1 and B2, Niacin, VitB12, Ca, Mg...

Why like Milo like dat one?? So un-coffee like...

The truth is it doesnt taste too cofee-ish to me...not much coffee also la...not as nice as our regular cuppa...my mum adds in extracoffee into her cup while i go with the regular...

My advice::
Stick to ur regular people!! Dunno wat sh%t they put inside those breakfst coffee wei... If there's not much of any coffee taste in tht cuppa where is the contentment eh??

A memorable event to remember, yes ? A moment shared with our dearest of friends. After all, what is the purpose of going to a ball when there are no friends to spend time with.

I have to apologize to everyone for being so busy during the ball, most of the time I was off photo-shooting. I deeply apologize to Calvin for leaving him alone on the MONGA table. Never had I imagined that the night would be filled with endless performances that requires my attention all the time.

To compensate for my little time spent together with the gang. I am both happy and willing to share my pictures with all of you. (Yes, you’ll also receive the full set of pictures via CD)

When I was off photo-shooting, most of the time I had to remain in crouching stance so that I don’t end up blocking the view of people sitting behind me. Pretty tiring though, my legs hurt after a while, but it was worth while as I managed to get quite a number of good photographic shots.

Allow me to give 3 examples.

Prologue

All balls have the same common problems. This would of course involve initial planning such as transportation issues. Then, there is the difficulty of getting everyone in the group to be prepared early on time. Yes, not everyone was as efficient as it seems, Ben n me were sorta late due to (Not mentioning here, only the A.B.C combo gang would know), but that didn’t match the time Calie took, so we definitely won’t feel that guilty. Hey, not bad edi k, I only had 10 mins to bathe and get dressed up for the ball. Indeed in order to do so I made a huge mess just to find the attire I already planned to wear. Funny thing was me n Ben even had time to shop for comics despite the rush.

The Arrival

Yep, everyone was already at the front of the foyer, all almost dead cause of Malaysia’s heat, not many people can maintain calm and be less effected by heat like me. After Calie finally made her majestic appearance, we didn’t see any much of a complex style worth the time we waited. Based on the crowd’s opinion, SY’s hair was more admirable. TY which is normally late was there early cuz he followed SY which already got there around 4.10 (The time she called me, me n Ben were in the taxi on the way back to change then). I dunno how to compare the guys lar, shud ask Alvin for this part cuz he will observe guys more. His observation got skill wan, u wont notice him staring and analyzing you, nor catch him observing someone until he starts making comments and then you would know. Soon as the group was on the move, I grabbed Alvin, cuz we needed sum1 to pay the toll.

Assaulting the Palace

We went in 4 separate Hum-Vee’s, the driver’s were SY, Ben, TY and Daniel. All of them are crazy drivers. Ben says Dan’s driving will one day turn him from Shadow Wolf to Spirit Wolf ;), Ben normally drives safely but with me and Alvin the world takes a dangerous turn. SY smartly chose all the girls that behaved well so she can concentrate on driving. Calie was seen continuously making faces at our trailing car as me and Alvin disturbed then via spamming. Alvin got corrupted by me ledi, he even spammed more than me. TY’s driving spooked his friend, the death chariot indeed. Personally, I can’t wait to experience TY’s driving cuz I like roller coaster rides.

Closing In on The Horses

We arrived there as early around 6 plus because there was no traffic jam unlike our expectations. The event was supposed to begin around 7.00 p.m. but the hall was still brimming with empty space around each corner. CW was already there since she’s handling the ticketing for the ball along with C2. CW was clad in smooth golden attire while C2 wore wavy vengeance red. Alvin commented on CW but I think only me and Ben were around to listen that time. Dan and the rest arrived not long after. Around 7 plus, there was almost nowhere to stand but alls cool and our group was still happily taking photos to keep entertained.

Entering the Hall Room

It was nearing 8 and guests were finally allowed to enter. However, most of the tables were still empty with missing hosts. Again, much chatting at the round table. Monga table was empty as well. Around 8 plus, tables began to fill and the event started off with a range of cool synchs to show off the committee’s well invested sound system. I would skip the timelined events as I have no interest to cover that section. You know what you saw and that’s it. CA covers internal prospects and hidden agenda’s alone. As expected I didn’t really like sitting with the Monga bunch as I weren’t interested in getting too close with that bunch, so I planned a table jump after the chicken was served. However, time took a slow depressional turn as TY takes almost forever taking pics near the stage for me to keep my social bar at green (refer to sims). Even if he did return, it was just momentarily enough for him to quickly gobble up a few slice or two of his dish before speeding off again. One serving before the chicken came, CW insisted I switched tables already. Really thankful for that cuz some of the Monga peeps were looking at me weirdly as though why am I so quiet, and one of them communication students went up to me for a lil chat, I showed no interest and really ended up like a shy guy cuz it was impossible for me to just shoo her off instantly. I turned my head towards the place and things were getting really awkward so yea, CW really helped in getting me over to the fun table!! Why fun? Cuz it was most probly the only table that reached an extended patron of 13 people. Even TY’s friend moved over, so that means everyone that was with us on the journey there ended up sitting on the same table, except for Jinny. There were few moments whereby CW got annoyed by Alvin, Ben, and YK for laughing I think. Too far away that time (I was smiling at the incident as well), but since I normally smile dun think she’ll blame me much.

Internal events (Not in order, nor clearly defined)

- Alvin still smoked no matter how formal his image was
- Alvin sang along with CW during one of the performances, didn’t really bother, since Calie was also singing softly and was much nearer I couldn’t decide whether the Alvin + CW duet was a bad combo.
- CW and Elaine went missing together a lot. Networking around probly.
- Penny gave us the biggest surprise as her hairdo was something different than expected, it was…err…folded up high. Looks nice altogether, stunning indeed. Equal amount of compliment to all of the girls I would say.
- Dan was entertaining TY’s friend after she moved over since TY wasn’t around. Mostly, only Calie and Dan engaged in long conversations with her. See, I don’t even know her name yet.
- I managed to collect more treasure shots. Had to personally request them or else the event would go to waste. I was missing CIMP theme days so this would have to compensate.
- SY should be cast away from food each until each performance ends because she can really grasp the hidden humour in most of em. Leech should have been there.
- There was this one time CW took ZZ out for sumthin I was not sure of, since I wasn’t paying attention. But I headed out the hall same time they did for a quick relief. They were taking pics here n there, yea the ball has many good memories to capture, I would have gone picture frenzy as well if I took my camera along. I tagged along CW and ZZ a bit for some teasing fun and then headed back in to catch up with the gang.
- TY was the last to move to our table. Actually there was no space for a 13th person on one table, but its just not fair to leave him on Monga table oso (yaya I was getting guilty for changing table), so I requested Alvin, ZZ and YK to cram more closer to CW and C2’s seat, so wallah!! History is made.

Following the Ball's theme

We escaped the Royal escapade near its ending ;) for a short while of mamak fun. Our planned escape had a certain glitch since Jinny needed to follow SY and we left midway without her. The group sought refuge at a Petronas kiosk station. Dan drove so fast he nearly went pass the station, Ben had to made a U-turn to redirect TY in case I couldn’t contact him in time, haha so much fun. Much later we regrouped as planned.

I didn’t wanna be out too late so I left around 1 with Ben. Poor fella suddenly got sick around mamak time, no wonder he ordered mineral water earlier then, I was already suspecting something. We shud stray away from that Curry House place actually, each time sure will have one order wrong or late food arrival wan.

Conclusion

A memorable time indeed, at least Monash doesn’t seem so dull now, a good way to forget the packed assignments during the holidays.

Holidays have come!!!

The long awaited stress week is here. SO its do or die time, if the the holiday is spent with much enjoyment be prepared to retake another semester. If the holiday is spent with total assignment pressure, be prepared for an emotional breakdown. What choices do you have to avoid such cruel fate?

The answer is simple!! This is the time to ultilize your networking efforts for the past few months. Your friends are your resources, their work is your sanctuary. Peer to peer reference puts a much more holy meaning behind the sinful term Monash calls "Plagiarism". In this new revelation we support all those affected by this sentence. By now, most of you would have similiar experiences of being taunted to use more of your own words or being put to shame for not placing much effort to finish assigned tasks. Do not fear, what you have done is an artistic move called "Creative writing", as humans we bear the brilliance to live the life of our dreams and exception to be bound to the chains of law. Remember this dear mortals, the scales of justice is in your hands.

THE WHJC : BRIDGE TO NOWHERE PROJECT

Hi all this is my first post on SIN from my now not so new internet connection, Yay! Today's subject is the ridiculous ENG1020 bridge building project (The first bit of the title shouldn't be a mystery to those of you who take the unit ;) )

Anyhoo, the project statement asks us to build a to scaled to life bridge model, which in itself is not a bad idea, why build a bridge that has no relevance to real structures anyhow? Except that this entire bridge must be made of your absolutely regular newspaper paper, including cables, its easy for the lecturer to rant on about how we shouldn't be complaining about size constraints since the bridge is to scale, I'd like to ask him to make a real life bridge out of this stuff, guy should realise that dimensions aren't everything, the stuff you make it out of matters too, we might as well have been making houses of candyfloss if that were the case, (yum!).

But all those problems turn out to be just obstacles, the build is actually buildable after all, (or atleast we hope it is, since we haven't tested our model yet), what is insanely annoying is how the lecturer goes around changing specifications and constraints, AARRGGHHH!! It really sucked for a lot of people last Friday when they found out about that there was a limit on the number of towers used on the bridge (something else he forgot to mention), some of the people had to build the whole damn thing again. I always knew there was some advantage to my leaving stuff off till the last minute, muahahahhahahah, my tardiness was actually the reason why our bridge hadn't been constructed on the day before we found out about the latest 'condition' in our bridge design, so take that! Jeremy and Foong.
Worst of all, most people don't know this one yet I think, (Tseng Yang will probably be ripping out his already frugal hair over this one), our old constraint on having to use ABSOLUTELY regular newspaper has apparently been lifted, when some of the guys started using this higher quality paper, went and asked the lecturer if it was ok, and he said it was!! I'd asked him the exact same thing over a week back, and he said we couldn't do it.

Anyhow, without further bitching, I invite you all to a very special, prelaunch look at our somewhat ugly (Not winning the aesthetic points this one), but hopefully stable bridge . . .

Greetings all!!
Our dear CW would be too busy doin law assigns to cover today’s event so I’ll just do a less skilled event coverage report.

Today was SY’s and Jord’s Bday!!! A glorious day indeed for these two aging couples. Somehow, as though connected by psychic influence, both of them wore red for today’s celebration. The hard part was to make it least noticeable that we were planning something for once…..as you can see….most of our plannings especially TY’s Bday had too much hints and spoilers that something was goin on….and all the victim had to do was act stupid as though nothing was goin on.

My first step was to not spam the couple after midnight struck as I would normally do to announce that the smiley one remembers their very existence on planet earth. I didn’t even hint out that I remembered what Tuesday was gonna be so there were few times I told SY and Jord “Haihz….tomorrows just another miserable day for us marketing peeps..to just rush for tutorial work” Surprisingly neither Jord or SY tried giving hints to remind us that it was their bday today. Sorree ler I prefer to ensure my artwork plans to go unnoticed this time, I didn’t even specify the project’s status as I was doing it on sat and sun. BTW the two pictures are the results of Project Methuss and Messala. TY’s one was Project Requiem……..more interesting If I codenamed my work haha.

Anyways, most of the contribution came from YK and Penny. Getting everyone together was hard and some of the mistakes I indeed forgot was that Leech was supposed to tag along as well when we first headed to Medan. Frankly……I didn’t notice Leech was at the foyer as well and the confusion was mainly due to the chaos of first realizing that SY wasn’t even at uni yet so I asked Alvin to drag her to eat with us quickly and then Jord almost didn’t join us at all cuz he wanted to join his other group of friends for lunch.

About the gift…we initially had wanted to get a toy car for Jord but sumhow I felt someone else was already gonna do so nways and If we got sumthin for Jord, we wont know what to give SY at such short notice on Sunday night.

Other weird things was…TY got a call from an unknown caller during the celebration and mistaking the caller as CW, directed the caller to Medan….turns out later that it wasn’t CW nor anyone else we can guess………so did we accidentally invite paranormal beings among us? We might never know…

Thanks to TY’s 1 hour dedication of skipping his dunno what meeting which I suppose is educationally related, we managed to snap nice photos as usual. Every event is not complete without a photographer. This time, things turned out better…….it can be learnt that its easier to get the cake 1 day earlier from the actual event than to do it last moment style as BEN would normally consider……way to go PENN PENN!!

Overall, yea we sure hit them by a mileage of surprise. Even printing the wallpapers was hard since Jord’s normally around when I’m in com labs. Actually he noticed me printing the file EVO7 which I regret naming it that way in one of the subfolders I didn’t close. Jord: “Eh, Calvin…Evo car picture ar? Lemme see!!” I just told him “No la…its not an EVO7 car, you know lar, I have no interest in cars so my type of EVO7 files are not the EVO7 cars you think……Its an Evolution Wallpaper I want printed”

One more failure………we didn’t manage to get them to pick up the candles without using any hands….

With two assigns due next week, not this week thank god..and another two on d following week...im about to die of stress...pure stress!! The thought of assigns alone is enuff to kill!!

Heyaz... Just dropping by to say hello to everyone here... although I seriously doubt my presence is missed, lol.

From what I see here I guess it's life as usual at Monash then.

Anyways, in case you're wondering what I'm doing now (which you're most probably not, since most people have better things to think about than other people's lives), I now have a pleasantly depressing 9 to 5 office job that's enough to make me miss college within the first week.

Plus points:
+ I get paid.
+ Experience
+ I have work trips overseas.

Minus points:
- It seems I'll never get away from editing.
- I'll very soon never want to see another proposal for the rest of my life.
- The office is in a kampung within the city. Nothing but Malay food and mamak around. Once in a while is one thing, but I really can't eat the same thing everyday. =_= I'm also the only non-Malay in the building, so I bet I'm the only one who notices.
- It's shortening my life. No, really, the life line on my right hand disconnected twice within a week of taking the job. Believe palmistry if you will.
- I now have practically zero freedom. I bought a PS2 I now have no time to play. Drats.

But yeah, hi everyone! Kinda miss you people~ But that's all for now la. Was never that much of a blogger anyways. Take care and God Bless~

Oi, TY....not covering ur bday experience in SIN ar?
Yupz, our CIMP snapster/snapz kid is now 19 years old!! I for one is jolly delighted, cuz he's no more but same age as me now....mm hmm 81 years left on earth!!

Here's the complete Requiem set for TY's bday collection which adds to the third collection generated so far.

This collection main theme is to convert everyone into a bit of Korean styled skin tone and appereance. SOme turned to be failures while some had good results. The first card I worked on was TY's and everyone else adopted his shade from there.

Many thanks to all who contributed their pics. Was good of SY to make a Bday Poster for TY's Bday too...else I wouldnt have found good pics of CW, Jord n herself in such a short amount of time ;)

TY: Cool heh? the term to use here is not Sakai but Kawaii ;) The before n after effect of shaving the fella n removing his specs stunned me yet again...
Empty ground: Glorie was meant to be here, her presence will be missed.
Sabrina: Just a recolour from the one I used in SinMech collection, what to do right...she's not studyin in Monash/Sunway side hard get pics ledi.
Mark: More arab than korean, more wise than nonsense, Our Mark which went to the sea ;)
Leech: Cunted graduation pic conversion, a rare find indeed, grad pics are hard to use in normal pics..
JZ: Also grad pic, she looks better with long hair wei....when I saw her not long ago changed style ledi..
Elaine Liew: Nothing to say here, her pic after convert totally lost eyebrow colour due to low pic quality, did a bad brow replacement job yea...
Enid: Again the elegant pic we all have seen
Jordan: Dunno leh, quite ok to me but so far he has complained both SY n my artwork of him didnt look good..
DW: Not bad oso, least didnt face distortions like the others, didnt need to replace nthin
C2: She originally already had korean like features, merry lookin as usual, her fairness easily blended with TY's
Chui lee: I keep using this pic...I dunno why...but maybe cuz it brings more mystery and better than having a whole pack of IC photo cards.
CA: Purposely made a dazed weirdo pose. Posing was easy, to take the photo myself was quite a laugh wei...
Ben: After see this pic he's gonna go hug his SinSoccer cards ledi...sorree lor didnt have time to seek better closeup pics
CW: thanks to the latest released pics of CW, a good pic can be formed, I have so few pics of CW that this edition can put the other two older versions to shame di ;)
Calie: sameness but I still have an array of her not used yet in diff costumes, no time to crop though so I use back this one ler...
SY: only had one single pic to choose from since she changed hairstyle this sem, shud have asked for more but it was really a last rush...pplus doin her pic in the uni clab kinda made it harder for me to photoshop like normal. At home I can stare n gaze at the screen to try n admire each pic the best I can like an obssessed freak so yea....environmental effects very important

Well well d other i believe d rest, all Monga journalists wouldnt be covering d event here so i shall do d honors then for those interested to read bout it...

D party started off badly!! It poured!! This weather has been d norm for for a few days ledi so no need for a feng shui sifu there mr calvin... even miss idiot cw can predict it alright but well musa were certainly keepin their fingers crossed i suppose.

On with d attractions now!! Enuff bla bla bs.

Im not realli into food. Especially food cooked by uni students. Say NO to those ppl!! Say YES to home cooked mummy food and qualified chefs now ppl...

And now i shall present Calvin Ang and Ben Gan...

The poor SIN members who got POISONED!! I mean food poisoning la..they are still breathing and alive tq very much for ur concern...

An hour or two after consuming food prepared by MESS club members, our dear Calvin and Ben vomitted and make visits to d toilet!!

*MESS/= A club u mess with. Its actualli Monash Engineering Students' Stupidity or sumthing to dat effect...

The food consumed:: Spaghetti and meatballs.

The romantic Lady and The Tramp atmosphere was obviously created to lure lovebirds but well d gang was nice enuff to pay it a visit as well we have know too many Eng students to avoid dat particular booth...so well oh well...we know which booth to avoid next time eh ppL??

Me being me wasnt interested in food and went out to seek entertainment while most stayed behind...Went booth-browsing with Sy and i cant remember who...last night was a blur realli...

There was still a light drizzle but dats alright as there are puddles to step into and dats fun!! ;P

Finally we came upon a dunking booth!! Poor Stephen, biz rep was already soaked from head to toe but well i wanted to dunk me big mouth again all d same!!

I stood within 30cm and threw those tennis balls as hard as i can but well my attempts were well...kinda pathetic and well i failed. This cant be true!! Argh. HE is going DOWN down down!! Into d water he MUST go!! I went behind him and pushed him right in!! Yay!! ;D

Satisfied, i left d booth ;) In search of more entertainment.

There wasnt much game booths... too much food if u ask me... but miss smartie pants who knows damn well she cant eat chew and swallow fast signed up for d burger eating competition anywys cos it was by mbc.

*Sry if not much is covered on d rest of d gang cos as usual i was wondering alone most of d time...so...dunno wat r d rest doing... A rough shall be made then ;)

D gang --> Stuffing themselves silly. Walked a bit and glued themselves to a spot watching performances by d live bands.

After a while, i eventually got bored...borrowed ty's other cam to toy around but

Bored. What shud i do then?? Hehe...
A plan is hatched. Within minutes it was put to work. I dialedd 8 numbers and the line was connected.

A certain female answered the phone. I said hello and asked if wee vien is around. She said sumthing but i was a bundle of nerves and instead of asking her to repeat i asked if ty is home.
The answer is no and boy was i delighted. The voice asked who ami looking for and who am i. I told her that im ty's fren. She suggested dat i call ty's hp.

"No...im looking for wee vien", i said.
I think i asked her. NO, i think she told me. Sumhow i found out im speaking to ty's MUM!! OMGOMG. She called d right weevien for me this time.

Now i know why her voice sounded so mature and calm!! Aiyo. Wat a blunder. But cw is not one to be easily embarassed. Not togive up now...she talked to the sis, the real sis.

I must have frightened cos well from her voice i can tell la!! So i told her NOT to be afraid tho i bet dat did wonders in making frightened her MORE so!!

Ah shoot.

So i attempted instead to make her promise me she'll come next fri for d MUSA street party since she'd be having her hols anywyz.

I will consider so she told me.
I tried really hard to make her promise still. Persistent cw. Typical cw. Yaya...watever people.

This is my first post on SIN, so I had to make sure that it was thoroughly grouchy and whiny, and what better subject to write on than the question that's been on the mind of every man, woman and child in Malaysia, (. . . well perhaps I exaggerate, just a bit though), the question;

"Why is Yasir NOT going to the Monash Ball?!?"

Yes people, I realise that it's selfish of me to deprive you of my exalted presence, but all the same I'm getting sick of explaining it over and over again to every Tom, Dick and Harry (seriously there're a lot of guys asking, very disturbing), since no one seems satisfied by my answer, I've decided to come up with 10, kind of like the ten commandments if you will.

But first I'd like to start off with a funny that I thought of all by myself on my trek to uni this morning. . .

WHY MONASH ENGINEERING HAS BEEN BARRED ADMISSION TO THE MONASH BALL:

" AAAAAAAAND THE WINNER FOR THIS YEARS MR.MONASH AND (wut the?) . . . ER . . . UMM . . . . MR.MONASH (?!?) IS . . . ."

Heh, heh I crack myself up, whew. That is what I'll be pathetically snickering my self to sleep over on the night of the ball, when I'm home, all alone, ah well, Anyhoo without further ado (*snicker*) lets get on to the countdown . . .

Yep, more crap questions. To compare all 3 stuff we boil them in a pot. This so-called boiling procedure is compared to the dilemma's in life. I've shared the Pearl idea with Cal and Ty, the diamond idea i shared with c2. Now im sharing it with evryone thse 2 brilliant ideas of mine!!

Pearls are all flawed. Real pearls of course. Not those artificially cultured ones mind you. Yet people still pay at least 20K for a strand for their lustre. Make sense? Make no sense? Make sense out of it in your own time.

Next.

Diamonds. I have not seen any diamonds lying around on the floor. Have you? IF yes then you have got to tell me man!! So...we shud look out for diamonds in their raw state, unpolished. These are easier to seek, tho nonetheless still quite a challenge... But well the likelihood of finding one is increased tremendously!!

You understand my ideas or not people?? I'm not specifyin much cos its appplicable to many situations so...its up to you to use them!! ;)

I see people are getting bored of waiting. nyuhuhuhuhu. This should be my debut appearance, and also my debut disappearance. Well, if it isn't, expect posts to come in majorly complete and gramatically correct sentences and devoid of slang gesticulations.

I'm skipping classes today cause of my piano exam in 4 hours' time, and I don't wanna sit for a lecture where the guy's just gonna read slides again. I'd rather be practicing my scales, and damn I can't find my sight-reading book. Actually I'm quite afraid of it. I've always known myself to have cold feet, cold fingers, the works. And when it happens I start to screw up pretty badly. This time will be different; I will have to tell myself not to be afraid, which must be the damned hardest thing to do.

So what is this big deal about this post in particular? The moment they see this they're gonna take that opportune moment to cut+paste or type out the next post in lightning speed just to claim the Golden Ticket. Well let's see who's gonna be the lucky one, since I'm pretty sure noone's gonna be using a computer at the time of the creation of this post. The IT student will be sitting for the most boring lecture alive this year while the business student, well, should be having a class of some sort, if not attending to the MBC booth or whatever it is she sets her mind to do. The engineering students, well they don't pioneer this site nor do they frequently post as the aforementioned so I trust they should not be the ones to take it. Whoelse...erm, what about the psychology student? I don't know, she doesn't post much from what I observe. But to no matter, may the best person win. All's fair in love and war, remember? My Answer:

I summarize what CW asked into 2 cases:

First: An occupation that I can do well in.
Second: An occupation that I may not do well, but I find interesting and deserve a go.

Solutions:

1. General Solution:

Know the first rule of economics ?

"People face tradeoffs"

This problem is very closely tied to that.

The way I look at it, both cases are not ideal cases. Going for the first will yield a more assured result while the second MAY have better results but I cannot tell at the moment because of my lack of skills to perform in the second case. An unseen tradeoff in the long run.

But, here's the thing, the word "MAY" refers to a possibility of a better return in the long run due to more opportunities in that job.

So, in order to make a decision, I would have to do some analysis on both cases. The "Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threads" a.k.a SWOT analysis works well here.

Knowing the market, advice from people, experiences also help in the analysis.

Of course, gut feelings also plays a role. Not to mention it being one of the strongest determining factor.

At the end of the day, the final decision is always based on a combination of analysis. And the choice that has a better opportunity is obviously chosen.

SO......... it's now a question of "opportunity".

And the question of "how to identify opportunities ?" is a question that can only be answered by the decision maker himself. People can only tell you where the opportunities are but NOT how to identify it. So, that part will have to be thought of VERY carefully.

2. TY's solution:

In a battlefield, a good general knows that turning the tide of war in his favor will ultimately lead to victory. This involves a lot of planning, anticipation, considerations, advices, analysis, support...... and a very simple philosophy of "thinking ahead even before the problem arises".

Same thing applies to above 2 cases.

In order to make things happen the way you want it..... You have to be in the "tactical position".

How to be in the tactical position in the field of "occupation" ?

First, set an ULTIMATE goal you want to achieve in the field of "occupation". Then, start planning today. Simple eh ?

Since both cases mentioned above are not ideal, but with enough planning, you can MAKE them ideal (Turning the tides).

That way, you can avoid the later problem of having to choose between 2 non-ideal cases because you have already thought of it and prepared for it earlier.

This one's a tribute for Dan's belated bday gift. I said I'll make him one at a later date nways since I like comin up with unique stuff ;)

Nop, these aint Gundam Cards if any1's wonderin, I decided that all of us are not by any way similiar to any Gundam pilots and representing each person as a Gundam Pilot is equally hard...so yea were all not worth piloting Gundam's...lolz

Dun be dissapointed ler, These mechs easily outbeat Gundam's nways. Its a multiplayer mech game. So far only Elaine, Calie and Lydia's Mech didnt come from the game cuz I ran out of good snapshots to crop out with. As you can see, got 2 teams here, equally numbered, red & blue.

Daniel, piloting a blue Apocalypse that normally mounts gatling guns as a standard weapon. This one has an extra 4 missile packs, so loses out in speed, Dan's attire is virtually added.

Calie, piloting ??? from random website, made her look like a valkyrie again ;) with the same pic I used too, so far thats her best pic with a cool pose. Instead of wings, gave her an angel helm and a sheild that looks like a Wing, also holds an illuminated sword if you see closely.

Mark, piloting an improved version of a Minatour Mech, now called Medusa. Super powered missile packed. Drew the missiles myself, thats why look so fake lalalala....btw Mark's pic easily matches the card theme, recolouring the outfit was hard tho...

Lydia, piloting ??? from random website, sumhow her name makes me remember bout arachnids, so I went and got her a Spidey looking mech. Take a look at her selecetd pic and then think of a black widow.....

Cheng Wai, piloting an Emancipator, fast walking scouts these things. Her one uses water/plasma based elemental weapons. Background same as CIMP 2005 end year mag. Pic same as SinSoccer 2006 card. Why? cuz I that outfit she was wearing (Mermaid Imprint) matched the mech assigned to her, purposely highlighted it too..

Sabrina. piloting the only vehicle class in this collection, Its called a Nike. Normally used as an uber artillery. Normally I prefer mechs cuz vehicles dun have sheild generators in the game, but cuz vehicle turret guns can turn a full 360 degrees, its mighty useful for harassing the big n slow mechs, I personally used a vehicle to beat the game's final boss. Turned her red attire to black as well cuz Blue team needs more firepower support, else I put in Red team ledi.

Jane, piloting a Metagan type Goad, good at speed runs and reflecting beams, these things have armour that auto allocate atoms based on damaged areas to give maximum protection. Same pic as SinSoccer 2006 card.

Ben, piloting one of Cybrid greatest technologies, called an Executioner. Highly armoured and equally deadly since It can pack enough energy storage to equip pulse weapons that bypasses sheilds and instantly damages internal systems. Pic same as SinSoccer 2006 card.

Tseng Yang, piloting a Shepherd. Runs only a lil slower than a Goad. More weaponry, also plays with reflective beams but hurts a whole lot harder. Featuring a rarely seen CUNTED pic of TY!! dunno how many gals drooling ledi. So yea, If you maintain good health thou will really achieve "The Kid" ranking and find yer own fountain of youth. Really did a bad pic of him ler in SinSoccer 2006 collection, so this fixes up the low quality of skills I displayed in the past, hahahar ;)

Red Team: Yep, fear us, I'm on the red team side!!!

Calvin, piloting an Adjucator, Cybrid's 2nd greatest mech one level lower than Executioners, lotsa ppl use these types in the PVP modes as their speed is toleratable depending on the mounts you use. My mech uses fire bombs and has an evil red bloody smile on the head piece. Pic token from Monash red day ;) SO din need recolour myself lalalala

Chui Lee, piloting yet another Adjucator, this one's a Prime Adjucator, focuses more on armour build up. Same pic from SinSoceer 2006 card, with recoloured red hair, to make her play more of a deadly role part.

Glorie, piloting OMG more Adjucator, so unfair ya....thats why I said Blue Team need more firepower. Same pic as SinSoccer 2006 card, but the greenery background is now burnt to a crisp ;)

Enid, piloting a Basilisk, its human technology and comparable with the power of a Shepherd just to how you can compare an Emancipator with a Goad. Same pic as Sinsoccer 2006 card. You cant really see much here cuz Red side more packed unlike Blue Team where Dan is placed at center, so Red Team have to bear space to feature the human faces than the mechs ler.

Jing Z, piloting an Emancipator. Yep, got her name right this time haha, can figure out where her pic came from ar? really makes her look like one cute mechanic goin 2war lolz ;)

Elaine L, piloting ??? from random website, same pic from SinSoccer 2006 card, tried to maintain her ecstasy for pink here.

Vivi, piloting a Gorgon, normally best mounted with 2 blasters, and 2 more heavy blasters, need ultra accuracy skills to win Clan Wars with these mechs. But ya, if perfectly hit, enemies weapons can be knocked off and disabled until he/she can find a repair bay. Got a better pic of her this time using her signature V pose.

Leech, piloting an Adjucator (Just when ya'all thought that was the end of Adjucators), This ones a bit diff. And since the pic makes her look so lost...my theory is the Mech is mindcontrolling her to pilot it to war haha, need lotsa mental power to pilot Adjucators.

Yasir, piloting a Gorgon as well, fitted with ELF technology, cant remember what it stands for but it shoots out strains of electricity and is also the same as the blaster class, long recharge time so be sure of when you fire. Thats his Bday pic right there ;)

Sticking to these brands means you want to be on the safe side. You do not like the idea of standing on the end of a plank of wood… **inspired by Pirates…hehe…

Tho once in a while you like taking the plunge in the not-so-deep end of the waters by selecting lesser known MonAmi…It’s a calculated risk but still a risk no doubt…

**I have gotten a MonAmi eraser once…I lost it la... but it was comparable to pentel…BRIGHT fluorescent green…very nice color… I think I didn’t lose it la… it disintegrated into many many pieces!! Im not sure if its d one I love poking with my pen…erm…

Pen tips

Pen tips are akin to straw tips!! Larger diameter equals higher flow rate!! ;)

1.0 and 0.7mm …a higher flow rate means greater efficiency!! More words in less time!!

During wartime… when one is expected to have minimum 38wpm speed...its damn damn damn damn damn damn damn important that blardy stupid pen doesn’t quit on you and get stuck!! To avoid dat or to minimize its occurrence what do one do??

Get a pen with larger tips la…

#One should however not confuse efficiency and effectiveness as more words doesn’t necessarily mean more points just repeated points but at least ur essay looks impressive with MORE words!!

Dun u ask me why im using a 0.5mm myself… I have logic behind dat as well!!

Misc items

Tissue?? Surely u have accidentally highlighted u own fingers before rite?? I had!! Many times over… same probs with gel ink pens… Be well prepared and put a packet a tissue in ur pencil case!!

20 cents coin?? You never know when it’ll come in handy so she figured… and never bothered to take it out… Dun we always need to flip a coin to make decisions?!! See??!! SO useful!! ;D

Liquid paper
A perfectionist. Unless you care bout d presentation of ur work, u cant be bothered with using a liquid.

Its arguable dat a perfectionist may not need liquid reason being her/his work is error-free but we humans make mistakes all d time!! Most perfectionists have a liquid unless of course he/she is denying the fact that she/he is one.

You know any?? Perfectionists who refuse to be one. Weird people…but they do exist.

I’m not gonna write it out again. So repetitive… Leech is sprinkled over in her the stationery she uses!! Cant u see and feel the HER in it??!!

But blur blur ppl you all are… Leech prefers being on the safe side, predictability is a plus. Waist deep water she can tolerate and perhaps even like but over the head is a no-no. Wat else?? Clear and precise is what she wants to be tho gurls send such a wide array of signals that we ourselves are deluded in the process.

I want things to be how I have planned it. Screw it up and I’ll unscrew ur head like those corks of a wine bottles. *Damn ganas…hehe…so dun u mess with us gurls!! We can get pretty violent under extreme conditions!!

The Notebook, The Table, and Cheng Wai

Hearing the bell ring, her mother ran to unlock the gates for her daughter who jumped impatiently due to the blazing sun right above her head. After a series of greetings and hugs, Cheng Wai made her way through the front door and into the kitchen for some lunch then up the usual flight of stairs she so despised thanks to it’s length. She reached her room in 8 seconds, a new record as far as CW is concerned and decided to write that down in her notebook SOMEWHERE on her table.

Her table, though as welcoming to her as it may be, was in fact a totally messed up table containing all sorts of junks and papers she deemed useful. Due to the exam pressure, she has neglected her table’s neatness altogether. To find her notebook now, she understood, would result in total catastrophe. If any attempts to find her notebook were to be made, it would have to wait until she had sorted out her table.

With the completion of her last exam paper today, she is now liberated of the burden of management theories, mathematical statistics, and economic studies. She was free, or at least free enough to sort out her extremely messy table. Not that her table needs to be anything more than elegant, but it should not be anything short of presentable as well. God knows what TY, Cal, or perhaps “Teriyaki” (yes… Sukiyaki) would think of should they happen to notice her table in the current disorderly state.

CW stared at her table for a moment, thinking of an approach to sort out her table. Fortunately, she had learned that randomly pulling stuff off the shelf and rearranging them as they come along is NOT the solution thanks to the unfortunate incident of her having to spend 3 hours looking for one set of lecture notes tucked everywhere imaginable (and unimaginable) on her table, not to mention having several pages found on her brother’s table used to do his rough work. The only other solution she could think of was to systematically rearrange the books by means of categorizing and recording.

She took out a piece of paper, scrutinized her table, and begun writing down a list of what she had on her table. Her final list looked like this:

Major and minor all rojak-fied!!

1. At least a dozen blue pens.

2. 2 waterproof stabilo black pens

3. one red pen

4. 3 rulers

5. 3 pairs of scissors

6. one eraser

7. highlighters - pink, green, 2 yellow, blue

10. nail colors nail color remover nail clipper. I have 2 sets of french manicure, one blueberry, one pink, one green dats bout it la...

12. accesories i dun use -- wooden bead necklace, heavy dangling earrings.. belt... christmas pressies mostly...

Tho i have 2 other tables... one for laptop and more books... another which is identical... rite next to it...

She gave a long stare at her long list and let out a long sigh. Writing the list was indeed taxing enough but she knew that it was not quite as taxing as the actual rearranging process. Reluctantly, she inched her way towards the front of her table, “argh” twice, then coordinated the movements of her hands. The rearrangement process has begun…

She displayed all of her newly acquired Mandarin books on the top of her table.

Those books were the spearhead of her Mandarin learning efforts as she was a person who had not at all studied Mandarin. Mandarin, she realized, was indeed one of the most established language in the world. From the beauty of its literature to the significance behind each and every Chinese character, this language has it all. As she just finished her exams, she officially had three weeks of holidays. Learning the basics of this language was a part of her holiday plan. And so, knowing that she would want to access these books frequently, she cleared a book slot on the top left of her table and neatly placed all of her Mandarin books into it. Done, she moved on to her next sort.

The rearranging process continued… from postcards to comics, toys to collectibles. CW was well on her way to sort out her disorganized table.

But then, something else happened…

As CW was sorting out her upper shelves, she noticed a piece of paper, some pictures beside it, and a book. She felt somewhat… weird, as those items were never before noticed on her table. Quickly, she displayed those findings on the top of her table, sat down on a chair, and examined it.

She noticed that it was some items from her younger days, a piece of her history. How on earth did these ancient objects wind up on her table ? She did not know, neither does she intends to find out now. She was intrigued by those items, carefully examining them, thinking of her past, her history.

The pictures reminded her of her childhood and her high school days. How she fought with her brother over a stick of ice-cream, how she would look ridiculous if she were to put on that kiddy dress she wore at the age of ten now, and how her high school friends played pranks on her by tricking her out of the toilet door halfway through her “business course”.

She then set her eyes on the academic report paper, thinking back about those days where she would question her school teacher with loads and loads of questions to the point where her teacher would fear going into the classroom. It was her moment of glory (hahaha, CW says).

The book, however, took her a long time to figure out where it was originally from. Then soon realized that it was actually a book she forgotten to return to the school library… argh !!

Those past memories lingered around her thoughts, image after image. She saw many of her past events, still as clear as a bell. Only after half-an-hour, she realized that she had work to do. Her table was still no where near sorted out. However, as she dwelled in her past, she has forgotten what she was about to do at current ! She knew that she still has sorting work to do but where did she last stopped ? She had no memory about that.

Sigh… after all that hard work of categorizing and arranging her table… :(

Somewhat annoyed, she lost her motivation to continue her sorting work. She sat back on her chair, hands supporting her head as she leaned backwards, and eyes looking up to the ceiling.

As she turned her gaze back to her table, she noticed the notebook she was initially looking for lying on her table. She leaned forward to pick it up. Perhaps she had found her notebook during her sorting work and placed it on her table but did not notice it due to her attention being spent somewhere else. Or maybe it was lying there all along but did not notice it due to her momentary lack of observation. Anyway, she thought, as long as she found it, it did not matter how it got there.

She opened her notebook, took out a pencil and mistakenly wrote 5 seconds into it. The figure was wrong, BUT HEY, she was happy, thinking that she had broken her old record and that ……..made her day.
